Digital Transformation of Genetic Services

There is an increasing demand for genetic and genomic services

Most physicians do not know much about genetics. while the medical genetics workforce is small – approximately 5,000 Genetic Counselors and 1,600 MD Geneticists, and it is not uniformly geographically distributed

Telemedicine for genetics (“Telegenetics”) overcomes geographical boundaries and allow greater access for patients

Genetics eConsults allow non-genetic physicians to get advice from geneticists quickly

Chatbots can provide pre-test education and risk stratification, allowing Genetic Counselors to practice higher on their license
